Captain Crusty & The Pickled Herrings

Captain Crusty & The Pickled Herrings are a comic sea shanty group known for performing in Dorset, they can’t wait to entertain at the Seafood & Sounds festival in Poole.

Gary Roberts

Gary has been performing around the world for many years. His solo performance will include singalong favourites from the 60s to up today’s music. Gary is lead vocals for the recording band Spinout UK.

Cobra Café

Cobra Café is a Dorset-based original music duo blending flute and guitar to create a unique fusion of world music, blues and jazz.

Helena Mace

Helena is a pop and country singer/songwriter. She was voted Global Artist of the Year and Song of The Year and had 7 nominations from UK Country Radio including Best Female Vocalist, Best Artist and Album of The Year where she was a finalist. Her album, Unbroken recently hit number one in the iTunes chart.

Resonate

Full of colour and beautiful harmonies, we welcome back the Resonate choir led by the talented Music Director Jayne Lewis. Enjoy an array of singalong favourites for fun and a great afternoon.

Kathryn Holt

Dorset-based folk/blues singer-songwriter and musician.

David Mein

David is a talented musician and music teacher based in Bournemouth. Playing acoustic classics from the 50s up to the present day. David is part of a musical family and also gigs in the covers band Sunstroke.

Emma Hardy

Talent with a capital ’T’ for Emma. If she is not the leading lady in a theatrical production she is busy gigging the music scene. Emma will be performing summer fun pop music. Get ready to singalong and celebrate the festival.

State of Undress

Get ready for toe tapping fun. The rocky rootsy fiddlesome band from Dorset, will be playing their own original music, some traditional songs in their own style and a few covers…just ‘cos they love ‘em.

Frayed Strings

The fun and fab ukulele group from Dorset. Full of colour and singalong songs.

Soul Tides

Soul Tides is a dynamic musical duo and collective of individual artists known for their high-energy, soulful performances. Based in or frequently performing around the Dorset and South West region, they are often associated with the contemporary R&B and soul scene.

The Choir Engine

The Choir Engine has grown into a wonderfully supportive and dynamic community choir and has raised thousands for local charities. From uplifting pop hits and soul-stirring ballads to timeless classics and contemporary choral pieces, their music reflects their shared love of singing and the joy it brings.

Susie Kimber

Susie Kimber is a professional singer-songwriter and performer based in Bournemouth, Dorset. She is widely known for her soulful, captivating voice and specializes in a blend of smooth soul, jazz, blues and pop.

Poole Me Hearties

Poole Me Hearties are a popular Dorset-based sea shanty group formed in 2019 at the Lilliput Sailing Club. They perform traditional seafaring songs and shanties with a unique twist, using acoustic instruments like accordion, violin, flute, and mandolin. They are known for lively performances at festivals and venues around Poole Quay.

The Real Deal UK

Formed in 2017 after the pair met in a local singing group, the duo is known for their “harmony-packed” renditions of soul, jazz, pop, and country classics. They frequently perform at local festivals, pubs, and private events across the Dorset area.

Sally

Sally (Sally Ager) is the founder, soprano, and music arranger for SodaPops, a professional vintage harmony trio based in the Bournemouth and Dorset area. Known as a “solo vintage singer” in her own right, she has performed in the region for over 16 years, specialising in music from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s.

Carley Varley

The extremely talented singer/songwriter will be taking to the mic with her spin on folk, rock and pop.

The Quayside Choir

The Quayside Choir (formerly Barclays House Choir) is a Dorset-based community choir, based in Poole, that rebranded around 2022 after over 40 years. Led by musical director Helen Brind since 2014, they perform a wide variety of sacred and secular music.

BitterSweet Harmony

BitterSweet Harmony is a fun, inclusive community choir based in Poole, Dorset, led by Chrissy Foster, focusing on spreading joy through music with no auditions or experience required. They perform 3-part harmonies ranging from the 60s to today at local events, care homes, and festivals while supporting community wellbeing.

Sound of Soul

Sound of Soul is a fun, friendly, 40-member mixed choir based in Bournemouth, Dorset, specializing in upbeat soul, Motown, and pop classics. Founded in 2012 and directed by Jo Wilkinson-Sharpe and Karen Boyle, they perform at weddings, festivals, and charity events across Dorset and Hampshire.

Nicole McNally

Nicole is a classically trained vocalist with 10 years of professional experience under her belt, regularly gigging all around Bournemouth & Dorset. She is the currently the resident Songbird at Madame Mojo’s Cabaret club, and is sure to wow you all with her incredible vocal range, tone and ability & overall talent.

Purbeck Storm

Purbeck Storm is a Dorset-based band known for a lively mix of sea shanties, Celtic music, and pirate-core songs.

Simon Lane

It is Simon’s third appearance at Seafood & Sounds and let’s give him a warm welcome. Simon is a popular act and often seen gigging on the local scene. Get ready for fantastic music of pop and swing.

Sing & Grin Choir with Balance Choir

Led by musical genius Tim Dowland, the choirs will be performing at the festival bringing life and music to the streets of Poole. Both community orientated celebrating music from across the decades.

Ed Fox

Born on the island of Bermuda, Ed toured the East Coast and then moved to England in 2011 continuing to perform for music lovers. He will be bringing a mix of country, rock ’n’ roll plus reggae in an acoustic style to the festival.

Coosticks

UK-based DIY singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer from the South Coast known for melodic indie-pop, folk, and rock music

The Rev

‘One Step Beyond’ with huge tracks of Ska and Reggae. From The Specials to Bob Marley, Madness and more. The Rev is not to be missed if you love great music.

Steve Faulkner

The perfect fit for our festival, Steve will be performing in various locations throughout the weekend. As a solo violinist, Steve is briefly stepping aside from his busy band work with the Murphy’s Lore Trio and Route 66 plus other music projects to perform at Seafood & Sounds. A special welcome back to the incredibly talented Steve Faulkner.

Poole Ukulele Pluckers & Strummers

The Poole Ukulele Pluckers & Strummers (PUPS) is a relaxed, community-based ukulele group based in Poole, aimed at ukulele enthusiasts of all abilities

Archie Ray

Archie Ray is a prolific singer-songwriter and recording artist originally from Cornwall, often performing in the Dorset/Bournemouth area. He is known for blending genres like rock-pop and hip-hop, having supported artists such as Jack Savoretti at the O2 Academy Bournemouth and played at local venues like the Bournemouth Electric Club.

Phil Dewhurst

Phil Dewhurst, widely known by his stage name Jinder, is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer based in Dorset. He is a prolific recording artist who has played over 3,500 live shows across the UK, Europe, and the USA since the late 1990s.

Sara Harris

Sara Harris is a professional vocalist and musician based in Dorset, UK, known for performing a wide range of genres including jazz, soul, Motown, funk, disco, and pop.

Rachel More

Paul Walker is a well-known local entertainer based on the South coast in Bournemouth, Dorset. Under the stage name Paul Walker Sings, he specializes in swing and jazz, performing hits from the “magical years of swing”.

The SKA Contingent

The SKA Contingent is a Poole-based, 24-member community singing group formed in May 2024, specializing in Ska, Two-Tone, Reggae, and Rocksteady music. Led by founder Jo Stratton and musical director Donna Jenkins, the group performs locally in Dorset, including appearances at HMV Bournemouth and local community events.

Relight My Choir

Great fun as everyone is welcome to join the audience and sing along with Relight My Choir performing fun songs from 80s pop to today’s modern chart toppers.

Route 66

Matt and Amie will be performing a fun set of popular covers with a Country twist. The duo is part of the band Route 66 who are busy performing across the UK in their upbeat party style with a brilliant following.

Citrus Singers

Citrus Singers is a community choir group based in Dorset, primarily serving the Poole and Wareham areas. Led by Musical Director and former The Voice UK vocal coach Tim Dowland, the group focuses on inclusive, “just for fun” singing without the need for auditions or prior experience.

Nory-J

Nory-J will be performing acoustic indie/dream pop. Often supported and a favourite of BBC Music Introducing, BBC Radio 1 presenters such as Elliot Darby and Seb Bailey claim Nory-J is “one to watch out for”.

Spotlight Theatre Choir

A new and exciting choir, based in Poole, singing songs from the stage and screen.

Lee Rasdall-Dove

Lee Rasdall-Dove is a singer/songwriter from the South coast his acoustic genre has been described as indie/pop. After studying music at BAMM and in Surrey, Lee continues to work on writing and recording his original songs.

Sarah G

Sarah G is a live singer and performer based in the Dorset/Bournemouth area of the UK. She is known for performing a diverse range of original and cover songs, spanning English, French, Italian, and Greek languages.

Rock Choir

Rock Choir led by Chris Mutch offers a feel-good experience focused on friendship, community, and well-being, featuring pop, rock, and chart songs.
